About Us

Resilience Gym focuses on stick fighting martial arts to enhance awareness & survival under stress. Our speciality are

Tabimina Balintawak defensive reflex training and traditional Kali stick fighting. Kali and Balintawak originate from the Philippines, where stick & knife fighting have developed for millenia, and were very effective in hand-to-hand combat against Spanish, American, & Japanese invaders armed with more modern weapons. Kali & Tabimina Balintawak are now trained worldwide by military special forces & professional mixed martial artists to enhance reflexes & reaction speed.

 

Resilience Gym started in 2007 at the King George’s Building in Singapore by highly experienced martial artists, and for the first 13-years was known as the “King George Group”. The current gym was formally established in Katong Singapore in 2019 to spread the beautiful and highly effective stick fighting arts transmitted to us by authentic masters with real street-tested combat experiences & survival skills. Our training is not centered on sport or competition, but focused on cultivating supreme human beings.

 

Our Classes

 

Small, personal and highly effective classes. We promise that with every lesson, every student will walk out of the school better than before.  We also don’t issue and sell belts that only give students as superficial sense of achievement. We train students to stay calm under stress with enhanced survival reflexes.
