Defensive Reflex Training
Balintawak is a Filipino martial arts developed by Great Grandmaster Venancio ‘Anciong’ Bacon in Cebu City, Philippines during the late 1940s, and propagated in the 1970s onward by Anciong’s student Grandmaster Bobby Tabimina. Instructors use a single stick training approach to install the motor skills required to efficiently defend against live resisting opponents that will attack unpredictably in a real combat situation. The stick is just a training tool used to bring out the necessary attributes required to successfully defend against random incoming threats without thought or “zero mind”, and use empty hands or improvised weapons for self-preservation.
Tabimina Balintawak teaches knife fighting, bare hands Boxing, dulo-dulo or any force multipliers. The key is adaptation to the weapon at hand. This is made possible thru the core teaching of the stick art of Tabimina Balintawak.
